Western Trail Horses is a training and sales center for all breeds and disciplines, operated by Warren Thompson. In an outreach to Northeastern Junior College’s Equine Management program, Warren also employs and provides a place for students to gain necessary skills and experience.

The Training facility is located at County Road 26, 4 miles west of Sterling, Colorado and 1 mile south of Highway 14. They are able to train 12 to 16 horses on a year-around schedule. They focus on developing quiet, gentle horses for recreational, pleasure and trail riding. Warren teaches the horses to be patient, accept leadership, and to respect and trust the rider.
